Canadian architect David Lombardi’s concept of ‘Function over Form’ leaves Villa Sapi’s guests with a sense of discovery and surprise at every twist and turn, ranging from the traditionally styled, grass-roofed building that houses the main kitchen to a futuristic home theatre. Furnishings carry a signature colour theme of black, red and lime green, while the walls are adorned with flair – bamboo, water cascades and conceptual artwork. Lombok Island neighbors Bali. The island can be reached by air or by fast or slow ferry. Guests will be met upon arrival by the Anandita staff and driven to the villa. (Return airport / pier transfers are included in the rate.) Anandita is only 40 minutes away by car from Mataram airport through the Monkey forest pass, 30 minutes away from the tourist resort town of Senggigi, 15 minutes away from Tandjung and 5 minutes away from the famous five star Oberoi hotel.
The area is well covered by 2 GSM/GPRS mobile networks which usually allows smooth mobile phone communications and blackberry email and messaging. Internet access is limited to dialup, but is sufficiently reliable for email. A PC and printer are provided for guest use. Continue reading

Villa Sepoi Sepoi rests beside the stunningly beautiful Sira Beach – the longest white-sand beach on the island of Lombok – in the tiny village of Sira (also spelt Sire). It is less than ten minutes’ drive from the harbour of Teluk Nara, where the fast boats from Bali and the Gili Islands stop to drop off passengers, and about 45 minutes’ drive from Lombok’s international airport. Situated next door to the villa is the Lombok Golf Kosaido Country Club, an 18-hole championship course.
It is also within walking distance of Hotel Tugu Lombok, a quirky and atmospheric living museum of extraordinary Indonesian artwork and antiques, with a restaurant, bar and spa open to outside guests. The neighboring village of Tanjung is an attractive Sasak market village with stalls overflowing with local produce.
